What I do with your information.

Short version: if you fill in a contact form on this site, I get an email and I reply to it. Measuring how this site gets used is something I only do with your agreement. There's no mailing list to be added to, and nothing here is sold to anyone.

Who's responsible

This site belongs to Aman Sharma, an independent marketing consultant based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I'm the person who decides what happens to the information collected here, and I'm the person you contact about it: hello@amansharma.co.

What I collect

• What you type into a contact form. There are two on this site — the general one and the one on the exhibitor page. Between them they ask for your name, email address, company, and details about what you're trying to achieve; the exhibitor form also asks which show you're attending, when it opens, and optionally your budget. Nothing is collected unless you press the button.
• Standard server logs. Like every website, the server delivering these pages records the request — IP address, browser, page requested, time. This happens automatically, it's how a web server works, and I don't use it to identify anyone.
• How the site gets used, where you've agreed to it. Pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, whether the contact form worked. This is measurement of a website, not surveillance of a person, and the section below explains exactly how it's gated.

Cookies, and what runs before you agree

A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep. They fall into categories, and the categories matter more than the individual files, because the tools change over time and the principle doesn't.

Nothing in the optional categories runs until you say yes. Not on a delay, not "unless you object" — they don't load. If you decline, or if you simply ignore the question, the site works exactly the same and I learn nothing about you beyond the server log every website keeps.

Analytics, specifically

I want to know whether this site works: how many people arrive, which sections hold attention, whether the contact form is being submitted or silently failing. That's a legitimate thing to want to know and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.

What I don't want is to build a profile of you. So the preference is always for measurement that counts visits without identifying anyone and without storing anything on your device. Where a tool needs a cookie to do that job, it sits in the Analytics category above and waits for your agreement.

Why I hold it, and on what basis

For anything you send through the contact form, the basis is legitimate interest: you contacted a business expecting a reply, and I need your message to give you one. If you'd rather I treat that as consent, you can withdraw it by asking me to delete the exchange.

For anything in the optional cookie categories, the basis is your consent, given by choosing to allow it and withdrawable at any time.

I won't use your details to send you marketing, and I won't add you to a list. If that ever changes it'll be something you opt into deliberately, not a consequence of having once sent me a message.

Who else touches it

Running a website means using a few services. Each sees a limited slice, none are given your information for their own purposes, and this is the current list — if it changes, this page changes with it.

• Web3Forms receives both contact forms' submissions and forwards them to my inbox. Their retention period is up to three years.
• My hosting provider serves these pages and keeps the server logs described above.
• My email provider holds the resulting message in my inbox, the same way any email you send anyone is held.
• Google Fonts supplies the two typefaces this site uses. Loading them means your browser requests them from Google's servers, which reveals your IP address to Google. It sets no cookie.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that turn into work are kept for as long as the working relationship lasts and a reasonable period after, because I may need the record. Enquiries that don't go anywhere get deleted once it's clear the conversation has ended. Analytics data, where it exists at all, is aggregated and not tied back to you. If you want yours gone sooner, ask and it's gone.

Where it goes

I work with businesses internationally and the services above operate across borders, so your information may be processed outside the country you're in — including in the United States and the European Economic Area.

Your choices

You can change your mind whenever you like. Wherever optional cookies are in use on this site, the control for them sits in the footer of every page rather than buried three clicks deep. Your browser also has its own controls for blocking or clearing cookies, and those override anything set here.

Where your browser or an extension sends an automated privacy signal such as Global Privacy Control, I treat that as a decision not to consent, and I don't ask again.

Your rights

Wherever you're based, you can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, delete it, or stop using it. If you're in the UK or EU, the GDPR gives you those rights explicitly, along with the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you're in the UAE, the Personal Data Protection Law gives you comparable ones.

In practice this isn't a process. Email hello@amansharma.co and tell me what you want done. There's no form and no department — it's just me.

Decisions made about you

Nothing here profiles you or makes an automated decision about you. If you send me an enquiry, a person reads it. That person is me.

Changes to this page

If this site starts doing something it doesn't currently do, I'll update this page and change the date at the top before it happens, not after.
